About The Position

Hilton is a leading global hospitality company. The Night Auditor plays a critical role in providing a reliable, comfortable, and accurate guest experience. This position requires understanding hotel standards, utilizing various systems (PEP, HHonors, Guest Dossier, etc.), and ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction and product quality. The Night Auditor must respond to guest issues, build guest loyalty through professional behavior and service skills, and contribute to a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. This role involves assisting department managers in all areas of the hotel to achieve superior guest service and maintain brand standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is desired, but not essential.
  • Previous related experience – hospitality, front desk service - strongly preferred.
  • Comfort in a computerized environment is essential.
  • Work well and communicate effectively with other team members and departments.
  • Read and write in English.
  • Perform mathematical computations such as adding, multiplying, calculating room rates, taxes, percentages.
  • Effectively communicate with hotel guests and clients, utilizing courtesy, tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent verbal and telephone skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and organized in times of multiple demands.
  • Follow directions accurately and efficiently.
  • Must be able to sustain focus and attentiveness for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to plan several steps ahead, always being ready to move on to the next task.
  • Keep written notes so that no request or essential information is lost.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and stay current on all Hampton Inn & Suites and Hilton Worldwide mandated training and certifications.
  • Accurately make reservations for guests.
  • Protect the security and privacy of guests and clients at all times.
  • Follow proper credit card procedures.
  • Check guests into the hotel, ensuring accurate guest information and verifying payment.
  • Check guests out of the hotel, providing a fond farewell.
  • Communicate with bell/driver staff for guest pick-up and drop-off.
  • Accurately record and input information for wake-up calls.
  • Assist guests with billing inquiries.
  • Assist and direct guests to meeting rooms.
  • Stay informed about current and upcoming meetings and functions.
  • Be knowledgeable of surrounding area attractions and dining options.
  • Assist guests with questions regarding hotel amenities and hours of operation.
  • Assist management with day-to-day arrivals, HHonors assignments, and amenities.
  • Exceed guest expectations by personal example for other Guest Services staff.
  • Contribute to a team culture that fosters continuous improvement, cooperation, loyalty, and superior service.
  • Ensure brand standards of operations, safety, and services are maintained.
  • Understand and execute strategies to achieve hotel goals for occupancy, rate, revenue, and cost objectives.
  • Ensure all Front Desk processes are executed correctly to protect revenues and maintain checks and balances.
  • Regularly follow financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables.
  • Assist with group information entry and post billing for banquet events as needed.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to fulfill guest requests promptly and follow up on completion.
  • Coordinate with Engineering for responsiveness to guest needs and hotel maintenance.
  • Be aware of, act on, and/or report any issue affecting the safety of guests or team members.
  • Assist in areas of the hotel outside of typical work areas as needed.
  • Understand competitor strategies and market against them.
  • Understand parameters for rate decisions based on occupancy levels and when to consult senior team members.
