About The Position

Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Northwest is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Night Auditor to oversee the front desk overnight, assist guests, and complete the hotel's daily financial close. The role requires accuracy, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently. The Night Auditor welcomes and assists guests, handles overnight front-desk transactions, reconciles the day's financial activity, prepares reports, responds to concerns, follows security and emergency procedures, and provides a clear handoff to the morning team. The role offers experience in guest service and hotel accounting and supports dependable overnight service and accurate information for management.

Requirements

• Dependability and the ability to stay alert and productive throughout an overnight shift.
• Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and comfort working with financial reports.
• Friendly, professional communication and a service-focused attitude.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions independently.
• Comfort using computers and learning hotel systems.
• Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Previous night audit or hotel front desk experience is preferred.
• Marriott experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and handle overnight check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and requests.
• Review daily transactions, reconcile payments, verify postings, and investigate discrepancies.
• Complete the night audit, close the business day, and prepare accurate reports for management.
• Review guest accounts and balances and document unresolved issues for follow-up.
• Answer phone calls and provide information about the hotel and local area.
• Respond calmly to guest concerns, noise complaints, and unexpected situations.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures and contact management when needed.
• Follow payment, guest privacy, and security procedures.
• Keep the front desk organized and provide a clear handoff to the morning team.
