About The Position

The Night Auditor is responsible for performing all front desk related functions, including checking guests in and out, promoting sales programs, maintaining guest records, and handling cash. This role also involves auditing the previous day's receipts to verify and balance entries, running reports, and ensuring accuracy. The position may also include assisting with breakfast setup, food preparation, service, and cleaning. The Night Auditor is the sole team member on property for the majority of the shift and must be able to work alone, ensuring guest safety and security during overnight hours. A key aspect of this role is providing courteous, efficient, and friendly service to all guests, responding promptly to inquiries and complaints with a +1 Service Attitude, and contributing to a positive work environment.

  • Ability to take written and verbal direction.
  • Ability to speak English clearly and read English.
  • Ability to relate to the public in a warm, friendly manner in providing a hospitable environment.
  • Ability to give attention to detail and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.
  • Thorough knowledge of Drury Hotels’ policies and procedures for guest services.
  • Ability to handle money, make change and utilize office machines.
  • Must be willing to and have the ability to work alone as scheduled.

Responsibilities

  • Audits the previous day’s receipts to verify and balance entries, runs reports and verifies accuracy of information.
  • Assists with breakfast setup, which may include food preparation, set up, service and/or cleaning.
  • Ensures guest safety and security during overnight hours.
  • Provides courteous, efficient, friendly service to all guests and potential guests in a professional manner.
  • Responds promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests and complaints with a +1 Service Attitude.
  • Maintains the front desk lobby area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Complies with hotel’s safety and security rules and instructions.
  • Works alone as scheduled, potentially being the only team member on property during the work shift.
