About The Position

The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing front desk operations during the overnight shift, completing the End-of-Day audit, balancing financial transactions, preparing daily reports, supporting guest service needs, and ensuring the safety and security of the hotel. This position delivers exceptional service consistent with Hilton and S3 Hotel Group standards while maintaining accurate financial and operational controls.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and complete the End-of-Day audit process and close out daily financial activity.
  • Run and distribute all required audit, revenue, and Food & Beverage reports.
  • Complete the Night Audit checklist and all required computer procedures daily.
  • Balance and reconcile all postings, including room, banquet, F&B, valet, laundry, and front desk transactions.
  • Prepare and distribute all required Daily Reports to management and relevant departments, ensuring accuracy and timely completion in alignment with property reporting procedures.
  • Maintain cashiering responsibilities and secure handling of funds according to Front Office procedures.
  • Operate and troubleshoot the Front Office computer and property management systems.
  • Perform all Front Office functions, including guest check-in/out, reservations, and guest assistance during overnight hours.
  • Handle and follow through on all guest requests promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct or coordinate security walks and ensure building areas are locked and secured as required.
  • Maintain proper logs, reports, and recordkeeping throughout the shift.
  • Prepare and distribute the Daily Flash or revenue summary reports as required.
  • Maintain compliance with brand Quality Assurance (QA) standards, guest messaging response guidelines, and brand identity requirements to ensure consistent service delivery and guest communication excellence.
  • Maintain effective communication with hotel team members using approved digital communication platforms such as Quore to coordinate guest requests, maintenance issues, and operational updates.
  • Drive safely and follow all traffic regulations when operating the hotel shuttle/van if required.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and secure environment for guests and team members.
  • Model professional behavior and provide courteous service to all guests and employees.
  • Transfer master or house accounts as necessary.
  • Distribute audit paperwork, including folios, vouchers, and revenue reports.
  • Assist with the training of new night auditors as requested.
  • Run morning reports according to hotel procedures.
  • Assist with nightly property walk-throughs and public area checks.
  • Manage Lost and Found items according to policy.
  • Complete special reports or projects assigned by management.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager or management team.
