About The Position

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Night Auditor to ensure revenue is posted to the correct departments and that all departments’ revenue is balanced daily. The role works from 12:00 AM EST to 08:00 AM EST and performs audit, cash-handling, and reporting procedures in accordance with directions from the Director of Finance. The Night Auditor also helps maintain guest service by verifying that wake-up calls are handled properly and by keeping a supervisor informed of unusual events or policy deviations.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of accounting or finance.
Ability to understand and use math concepts.
Ability to interpret technical information.
Ability to work with math problems quickly and accurately.
Team-oriented and comfortable working in a hands-on environment.
Detail-oriented and able to balance multiple responsibilities and tasks.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting financial information.

Responsibilities

Provide, distribute, and process required audit reports and perform audit procedures as set forth by the Director of Finance.
Verify the status of all wake-up calls and ensure they are properly handled.
Balance all cash receipts and work performed during the audit shift.
Make deposits of cash.
Attend and actively participate in training and cross-training programs.
Keep the supervisor informed of unusual events and deviations from policies.
Maximize productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in finding and implementing solutions.
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
