About The Position

The Night Auditor is in charge of the Hotel during the overnight shift, making sure that the overnight staff maintains the safety and security of the guests and the hotel property.. A night auditor is responsible for checking in guests arriving at night; assisting guests with their overnight requests and balance accounts from the day shift. The night auditor also reconciles all accounts and closes the business day. Essentially, a night auditors role is to provide excellent customer service to guests and keep the front desk and accounting operations running smoothly. A high school diploma or equivalent along with 2 years' experience hospitality is required. Successful night auditors possess excellent mathematical skills and strong customer service skills. You would be using the Hilton OnQ system to run the night audit programs, make any necessary corrections and close the business day and ensure all systems are updated for the new business day. This Full time position comes with an excellent benefits package that includes participation in the company 401K program.   • Must have the ability to communicate in English.

  • Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to make accurate mathematical calculations using a 10-key.
  • Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years' experience hospitality

  • Hotel experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report data by auditing Point of Service tapes/journals to breakdown revenue, covers, waiters' fees, tips paid out and settlements by type and cashier.
  • Run audit reports/journals from the front office system, Point of Service and the computer.
  • Make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer problems that might occur throughout the shift.
  • Input into the front office system revenue/expenses/allowances to generate the daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and the Daily Restaurant Summary.
  • Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operations.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
