About The Position

The Night Auditor (Part-Time) will be responsible for conducting all nightly audit-related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Audit responsibilities include balancing duties, daily paperwork, and shift reports. While completing these duties, the Night Auditor will attend to guest needs such as guest check-in/check-outs, making reservations, and answering guest questions. Proactive thinking, keeping guest security always in mind, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly work environment are essential. The role involves counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each scheduled shift. The Night Auditor will check the front desk log for problems and special requests, greet, register, and assign rooms to guests, and process guest registrations, including collecting payment. Preparing express checkout folios, maintaining room status inventory, and communicating all pertinent shift information to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff are key responsibilities. The role also includes maintaining and cleaning the lobby and bathroom as needed, communicating all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition, and working closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service. Answering inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions, as well as explaining in-room and hotel features, are also part of the job. The Night Auditor is responsible for completing all required shift paperwork and night audit reports daily. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
