The MCR standard is to provide clean, friendly, well-organized and safe hotels for our guests. This role is responsible for completing all hotel audit-related reports by the designated time, ensuring overnight security measures are followed, and receiving and noting all incoming mail as required per the daily shift checklist. The Night Auditor must also greet guests happily, use their names whenever possible, contribute to great guest satisfaction scores, and handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and a sense of urgency. A strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities, understanding of relevant technology, and excellent phone etiquette are also expected. Cleanliness is a team effort, and the Night Auditor may be expected to pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed. Operational checklists must be completed accurately and on time, and handover reports must be accurate and timely for effective shift-to-shift communication. A clean, approved uniform and proper grooming are required at all times. Communication between team members should be clear, honest, and professional, and a 'can-do' attitude is essential, with a willingness to stretch beyond traditional roles to meet business needs. Collaboration is key to creating a welcoming environment for guests and a positive workplace.
