About The Position

As the Night Auditor, you will help road-weary travelers check into a fresh, clean room during the overnight shift. You will review the prior day’s books, looking for anything unusual, and ensuring that as the sun rises, all records are accurate. You will be accountable for ensuring all aspects of the hotel’s records of the prior days operations are processed timely and accurately recorded. You will make a great last impression by inquiring about the guest's stay and showing you care, and a great first impression by helping tired guests settle in quickly and efficiently. You will be the person guests turn to for help or with questions during the overnight shift and do your best to meet and exceed their expectations. You will also act as a Safety & Security Agent, following established policies and procedures, anticipating problems, and calling management as needed. In some cases, you may be the "manager on duty" during the overnight hours and should take this role very seriously.

Requirements

  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • An accounting background is preferred but not required.
  • Strong, accurate attention to detail is necessary.
  • Ability to handle cash or credit transactions.
  • Front office software proficiency.
  • Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently with a regular need to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to assist with luggage which may require exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
  • Valid driver’s license will be required if asked to assist with van service.
  • Ability to work long hours, many of which may be spent standing.
  • Ability to work independently.

  • Take the role of "manager on duty" seriously if applicable.
