About The Position

The Night Auditor is responsible for preparing the daily restaurant revenue report by auditing Point of Service tapes/journals. This includes breaking down revenue, covers, waiters' fees, tips paid out, and settlements by type and cashier. The role involves running audit reports and journals from the front office system and Point of Service, making necessary corrections and adjustments, and troubleshooting computer issues during the shift. Additionally, the Night Auditor will input revenue, expenses, and allowances into the front office system to generate daily reports like the Guest Ledger Summary and Daily Restaurant Summary. This position also requires balancing all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintaining files, and resetting the system for the next day's operations. The role includes assisting late-arriving guests with check-in in a friendly and timely manner and performing any other assigned job-related duties. Compliance with attendance rules and availability for regular work are essential.

Requirements

  • At least 6 months of previous, face-to-face guest/customer experience
  • 11pm to 7am availability

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report data by auditing Point of Service tapes/journals to breakdown revenue, covers, waiters' fees, tips paid out and settlements by type and cashier.
  • Run audit reports/journals from the front office system, Point of Service, and the computer.
  • Make corrections and adjustments and handle all computer problems that might occur throughout the shift.
  • Input into the front office system revenue/expenses/allowances to generate the daily reports such as the Guest Ledger Summary and the Daily Restaurant Summary.
  • Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operations.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Assist late arriving guests with check-in process, in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
