About The Position

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. The Staff Registered Professional Nurse manages patient care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital’s philosophy and policies. Professional nursing practice reflects collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree.
• Additional life support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Practice within the scope defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
• Manage patient care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital’s philosophy and policies.
• Reflect collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment in nursing practice.
