About The Position

The Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Inc. is seeking a NICU Nurse. Mass General Brigham relies on a wide range of professionals to advance its mission of patient care, research, teaching, and community service. This role is crucial for providing specialized care in New England's largest and most advanced neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care. The registered nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs, assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.

Requirements

Graduate of an approved nursing school with current registration in Massachusetts.
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required for newly licensed nurses.
Registered Nurse [RN - MA State License]
Minimum 1-year RN current Level III or II NICU experience required.
Evidence of basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.
Observational skills and the ability to set priorities.
Ability to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service, teamwork, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management.

Planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care.
Demonstrating initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs.
Effectively managing patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Providing expert critical care in collaboration with pediatric medical and surgical colleagues.
Accommodating and caring for twins, triplets, and higher-order multiples.
Offering extensive services to protect the baby’s health and compassionate care to support families.
