NICU Monitor Tech - Neonatal ICU - Night Shift
About The Position
The NICU Monitor Tech - Neonatal ICU position at CoxHealth South is a night shift role requiring 36 hours per week. The individual will have a basic working knowledge of all unit functions and be responsible for performing clerical duties, maintaining equipment and supplies, and coordinating with nursing staff regarding telemetry patients. This includes admitting and discharging patients on the telemetry monitor, notifying the RN about heart rate and rhythm changes, and keeping telemetry logs updated. The role also involves adjusting telemetry monitor screens as directed by the RN, and may include additional duties such as scheduling appointments, charging, compiling and copying medical charts, and other assigned tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Able to communicate and work with a wide variety of staff, patients and families
- Exhibits valuable time management skills
- Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous Nurse Assistant experience
- BLS within 90 Days of hire
Responsibilities
- Perform clerical duties
