About The Position

The NICU Milk Technician is responsible for performing duties within the daily operating procedures of the NICU human milk bank. This includes processing enteral feeding orders, developing recipes according to physicians' orders, preparing, and delivery. The technician ensures that products are compliant with current codes and are acceptable for use. They also requisition and inspect supplies and materials to maintain inventory levels and ensure quality standards are met.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
Some college hours required.
Demonstrated competence in mathematical skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Ability to perform detailed assignments.
Ability to follow directions.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to readily adapt to change.
Must be able to work professionally with caregivers, families, and inter- and intra-departmental staff.
Current Basic Life Support BLS Certification required prior to start.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years' experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
Past experience as PCT or in Food Service.
Experience working with computers.
