About The Position

We are seeking a highly specialized NICU Clinical Pharmacist Specialist to provide advanced clinical pharmacy services for critically ill neonatal patients in Houston, Texas. This opportunity is designed for a pharmacist with dedicated pediatric residency training and hands-on NICU experience who can contribute specialized medication expertise within a high-acuity neonatal care environment. The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist will provide direct pharmacy support for critically ill neonates, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the NICU care team. This role requires an advanced understanding of neonatal pharmacotherapy and the clinical judgment necessary to support safe, effective, and individualized medication management for medically complex newborns.

Requirements

  • Completion of a PGY2 Residency in Pediatrics (Candidates with a PGY2 Residency in Critical Care may be considered if they have current NICU experience)
  • Current Texas Pharmacist License
  • Demonstrated NICU clinical pharmacy experience
  • Experience providing direct clinical pharmacy services to critically ill neonates
  • Strong knowledge of neonatal pharmacotherapy and medication management
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary NICU team

  • Advanced knowledge of medication dosing, monitoring, and pharmacotherapy for neonatal patients
