About The Position

FanSided is seeking new contributors to join its NHL coverage team. This role is ideal for fans who want to share their extensive knowledge of specific NHL teams and contribute to a growing digital media network. Contributors will have the flexibility to write about topics they are passionate about on a schedule that fits their lives, with the opportunity to write as often as they wish. This is an independent contractor role where compensation is based on article traffic accrual each month.

Requirements

• Ability to write clearly and effectively in English.
• Must be able to pitch topic ideas before writing.
• Must be able to write a minimum of one article per calendar month.

• Extensive knowledge of specific NHL teams (Montreal Canadiens, Chicago Blackhawks, Dallas Stars, San Jose Sharks, St. Louis Blues, New York Rangers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes, Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Islanders, Calgary Flames, Minnesota Wild, Winnipeg Jets, Seattle Kraken, Colorado Avalanche, Detroit Red Wings, Edmonton Oilers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Nashville Predators, New Jersey Devils, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings, Buffalo Sabres, Ottawa Senators, Washington Capitals, Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Utah Mammoth, Las Vegas Golden Knights).
• Proposals for other NHL teams will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Write a minimum of one (1) article per calendar month.
• Pitch topic ideas before writing to avoid conflicts.
• Explore and develop writing voice, trying new approaches.
• Write clearly and effectively in English.
