Discover Impactful Work: Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an NGS Sales Specialist, where you'll grow revenue through strategic sales of advanced scientific instruments and solutions. You'll develop and manage key customer relationships across diverse markets including research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and industrial sectors. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you'll identify opportunities, create customized solutions, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. This role combines technical expertise with relationship building to help our customers make breakthrough discoveries and improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of successful sales experience in scientific instruments or analytical equipment required.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong technical understanding of NGS instrumentation and applications.
  • Excellent relationship-building and account management skills with both direct customers and channel partners.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (especially Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Outstanding presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles and large capital equipment deals.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within assigned territory.
  • Business-level English proficiency required; local language skills as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently.
  • Experience with public and private sector procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of competitor products and market dynamics.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screen.

  • Preferred Fields of Study: Science, Oncology, Chemistry, Biology, or Instrumentation.
  • Relevant professional certifications a plus.
