About The Position

The NGR Operator is responsible for repro made from internal and external scrap. The Operator is assigned a repro line which makes recycled resin for sale to sister companies or internal use.

Requirements

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to complete reports and forms associated with the position.
Ability to communicate effectively orally, and in writing.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusion.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 6 months on the job training.

Responsibilities

Checking quality of their repro line at shift change and on an hourly basis.
Entering correct box information into the plant computer system.
Ensuring that packaging is being done per the correct packing specification.
Planning order changes and verifying the correct scrap/repro ID is used.
Verifying all paperwork is complete and accurate.
Performing screen changes every 6 hours on NGR lines.
Promoting safety awareness throughout the plant.
Making sure all employees have required PPE and are following all safety policies.
Reporting any defective equipment or safety hazards to Shift Supervisor.
Maintaining work zone housekeeping throughout entire shift.
Maximizing production rates while maintaining a quality product.
Preparing for upcoming order changes at least 2 hours in advance.
Assisting Maintenance Department when necessary.
Assisting other zones Operators when needed.
Promoting teamwork throughout the plant.
