About The Position
RCX Sports is seeking NFL FLAG Officials (1099 Independent Contractors) to support NFL FLAG leagues across Indiana. This role involves officiating youth games, managing game flow, and promoting a positive environment. Assignments are seasonal, with hiring occurring year-round for Spring, Summer, and Fall leagues. Officials will be trained on NFL FLAG rules and mechanics.
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to handle running during games
- Ability to remain level-headed in high-pressure situations
- Strong people skills for confident interaction with players, parents, and coaches
- Willingness to learn NFL FLAG rules and referee signals (training provided)
Responsibilities
- Officiate youth NFL FLAG games in accordance with NFL FLAG rules, safety protocols, and the prescribed game format
- Manage game time, flow, and schedules to support efficient league operations
- Identify rule violations and communicate penalties clearly to players, coaches, and spectators
- Maintain neutrality and professionalism, including de-escalating disputes when needed
- Conduct pre-game field and equipment inspections to ensure safe playing conditions
- Complete required post-game reporting and documentation
- Promote a positive, welcoming environment that emphasizes learning, fun, and respect for all participants
- Submit timely post-game reports as required
- Arrive on time and represent RCX Sports professionally at all assigned locations
