This is a boys basketball assistant coach position.
Requirements
- Completion of NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching”
- Completion of NFHS “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches”
- Completion of "NFHS Heat Illness Prevention" course
- Completion of NFHS COVID-19 Course
- Possession of a concussion certificate
- Possession of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate
Nice To Haves
- Successful completion of the ASEP Coaches Education Course prior to May 15, 2013
Responsibilities
- Complete the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses prior to assuming the position. Coaches who have successfully completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course prior to May 15, 2013, will not be required to take the NFHS courses.
- Maintain a copy of the concussion certificate on file every year.
- Maintain a copy of the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate on file every year.
- When applicable, maintain a copy of the completion of "Fundamentals of Coaching" on file.
- When applicable, maintain a copy of the completion of "First Aid, Health, & Safety" on file.
- Complete the NFHS “NFHS Heat Illness Prevention” course and maintain a copy on file every year.
- Complete the NFHS COVID-19 Course.
