NextGen Worship Lead (PRP - Support)

About The Position

The NextGen Worship Lead (Support) facilitates worship for Kids, Youth, and Young Adult environments at an assigned campus, partnering with the Campus Worship Pastor. This part-time, permanent role cares for campus NextGen worship teams, trains worship leaders and musicians, plans and schedules worship-related events, and leads worship. With support from the Regional NextGen Associate Worship Pastor, the role carries churchwide NextGen worship standards into campus environments. The position is expected to support, recruit, and develop Serve Team members and serve alongside the broader Gateway Church team as ministry and organizational needs arise. Applicants must be a member of Gateway Church or become one upon employment.

Requirements

Clear passion for Jesus and a strong biblical foundation.
Heart for students and kids, with the ability to lead worship in their environments.
Musical craft and talent, including proficiency as a worship leader on voice and at least one instrument.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and retain volunteers.
Ability to take direction on standards from Central while owning execution locally.
Consistent growth in craft, character, and leadership capacity.
Professional punctuality, communication, and appearance.
Demonstrated emotional and relational intelligence.
Strong time-management skills and ability to manage several priorities at once.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn and use new software and systems.
High school diploma or equivalent.
One or more years of worship-leading experience.
Must be a Gateway Church member or become a member upon employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience leading kids or student worship.
Prior experience in a multisite church environment.

Responsibilities

Build and steward the campus NextGen worship Serve Team through recruiting, training, scheduling, retention, and appreciation.
Execute set lists, Ableton/Playback sessions, and service plans provided by Next Gen Worship rather than establishing a separate standard.
Develop young worship leaders and musicians at the campus and mentor students on the team.
Run rehearsals and pre-service preparation for campus NextGen environments.
Partner with the Campus Worship Pastor and campus NextGen leadership on platform, scheduling, and shared needs.
Raise local realities and needs to the Regional NextGen Associate Worship Pastor.
Support campus NextGen events, camps, and team nights.
Be present and serve at weekend services and churchwide events as required by the ministry calendar.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Support, recruit, and develop Serve Team members and serve alongside the broader team as ministry and organizational needs arise.
