About The Position

Baptist Search Partners is partnering with River Hills Church in Winder, GA, to find a high-energy, relational, and self-starting Next Generation Pastor. This role will lead and grow a dynamic student ministry for middle and high school students (grades 6-12), as well as college students. The mission of River Hills Church is to introduce Jesus Christ to those who have not yet encountered Him and guide those who already know Him toward a deeper connection. The Next Generation Pastor will serve under the direction of the Lead Pastor and play a critical role in the church's future growth, which has seen a 20% increase in attendance and a 25% increase in giving over the last 18-24 months. The church, planted in 2007, is committed to "Bringing Truth and People Together" and is a dynamic congregation of over 500 people. They are passionate about developing leaders, investing in the next generation, and creating environments for spiritual growth. The church engages in local outreach and global missions, with two Sunday worship services featuring expository preaching, intentional prayer, and Christ-exalting songs. Life Groups are central to community, with student ministry Life Groups meeting on Sundays. Requirements

• High-energy, relational, and self-starting individual.
• Ability to lead and grow a dynamic student ministry for middle and high school students.
• Experience in ministry to students in grades 6-12 and their parents, as well as college students.
• Passion for developing leaders and investing in the next generation.
• Commitment to creating environments where people can take meaningful next steps in their walk with Christ.
• Experience in local outreach and global missions.
• Ability to work under the direction of the Lead Pastor.
• Experience in discipleship and equipping ministry.
• Ability to engage and build relationships with students.
• Strong communication and vision-casting skills.
• Collaborative and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Create a ministry environment where students feel welcomed and provide opportunities for students to grow in their faith and serve on mission.
• Recruit, equip, and empower leaders and teams to invest in the River Hills student ministry.
• Intentionally evangelize the lost and personally disciple others in their faith.
• Develop, align, and execute the discipleship and equipping ministry for students in grades 6-12, including Merge, Life Groups, and Journey Groups.
• Engage and build relationships with students during the week by being present at school events, partnering with ministries like FCA and YoungLife, and being active in the community to connect them to the church and to the gospel.
• Cast vision and clearly communicate the why, what, and when of student ministry.
• Collaborate and coordinate with the rest of the staff team through meetings, brainstorming sessions, and leadership retreats.
• Oversee the overall student ministry, including small group leaders, Merge volunteers, the guest services team, the worship and tech team, student leaders, parents of students, and student ministry interns.
