About The Position

Alive Church is seeking a passionate, organized, and Spirit-led Next Gen Director to lead Alive Kids, serving infants through 5th grade, and Alive Youth, serving 6th through 12th grade. The role is responsible for building a healthy Next Gen culture, developing age-appropriate programming, raising up Dream Team volunteers and student leaders, and partnering with parents so families feel cared for. The candidate should have a genuine heart for kids and students, lead volunteers well, and view Sundays, Wednesdays, and camps as opportunities for a generation to come to know God.

The Next Gen Director oversees youth gatherings, summer internships, and key events, including Youth Summer Camp; stewards the Next Gen budget; and submits monthly reports and life change stories. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Tampa, Florida. Some evenings, weekends, and special events may be required.

As a staff member of Alive Church, the successful candidate must understand, support, and protect the church’s mission, values, culture, and biblical foundation.

Requirements

• A growing, personal relationship with Jesus and full alignment with the beliefs and values of Alive Church.
• A clear calling and genuine heart for kids, students, and families.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, and lead volunteer teams and develop young leaders.
• Strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills, including budgeting and reporting.
• Emotionally healthy, team-minded leadership; honors authority and handles conflict well.
• Commitment to child safety, including passing a background check and completing required safety training.
• Availability for weekend services, Wednesday evenings, camps, and key Next Gen events.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years leading kids and/or student ministry.
• Experience across multiple campuses or age groups.
• Bible college or ministry training.

Responsibilities

• Build and sustain a healthy, life-giving culture across Alive Kids and Alive Youth.
• Develop fun, Bible-centered programming for preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students.
• Recruit, train, and lead Next Gen Dream Team volunteers, including creating an easy onboarding path for new leaders.
• Develop a student leadership team that helps create and run the student ministry.
• Partner with parents through coaching, resources, and encouragement.
• Oversee youth gatherings, summer internships, and key events, including Youth Summer Camp.
• Steward the Next Gen budget and submit monthly reports and life change stories.
• Support and protect Alive Church’s mission, values, culture, and biblical foundation.
