Arizona’s Family Sports covers premier local sports franchises. This position is for a Part-Time Writer to join the high-energy Good Morning Arizona team. The role involves transforming complex news stories into conversational, urgent, and accurate scripts with personality for Phoenix viewers, writing for the ear, and maintaining composure under tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, broadcasting, related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, meet deadlines, work well as a team, and work independently.
• Exceptional communication skills and excellent knowledge of current events.

• Double-check every fact, name, and number because in our newsroom, being first only matters if you’re also 100% right.
• Adapt your scripts for our digital platforms, ensuring our stories are just as compelling on a smartphone screen as they are on a 65-inch TV.
• Work closely with producers and editors to marry your words with the best video and graphics, creating a seamless experience for our audience.
