About The Position

The audio revolution is here – and iHeart is leading it! iHeartMedia, the number one audio company in America, reaches 90% of Americans every month. We are looking for a part-time news writer and producer for iHeart Media's 24/7 News operation in Phoenix. This is an in-house position and cannot be done from a remote location. This position requires very deep attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Must be willing to work nights, weekends & holidays.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate can make quick decisions and work in a very deadline-oriented environment.
• An extensive background in editing and content creation is required.
• Must be skilled and highly proficient with coverage of breaking news and overall newsroom management.
• Willingness to initially work overnights/weekends etc.
• Three-plus years of news/journalism experience
• Excellent writing and editing ability; excellent grammar

Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility will be writing and editing news content for the 24/7 Newswire.
• Cover Breaking News on a local/regional/national level.
• Post content (text & audio) to various platforms for affiliates.
• Other duties as assigned.
