About The Position

iHeartMedia is seeking a part-time news writer and producer for its 24/7 News operation in Phoenix. This is an in-house position that requires deep attention to detail and strong organizational skills. The role involves writing and editing news content for the 24/7 Newswire, covering breaking news on local, regional, and national levels, and posting content (text & audio) to various platforms for affiliates. The ideal candidate can make quick decisions in a deadline-oriented environment and has extensive experience in editing, content creation, breaking news coverage, and newsroom management. Requirements

• Must be willing to work nights, weekends & holidays.
• Very deep attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to make quick decisions.
• Ability to work in a very deadline-oriented environment.
• Extensive background in editing and content creation is required.
• Skilled and highly proficient with coverage of breaking news and overall newsroom management.
• Willingness to initially work overnights/weekends etc.
• Three-plus years of news/journalism experience.
• Excellent writing and editing ability.
• Excellent grammar.
