About The Position
The News Producer creates, coordinates, and executes newscasts on air and online. This position provides editorial and production direction to editors and field crews regarding content, coordination, and newscast execution.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of experience producing in a TV news or similar online news environment.
- Must work well under the pressures of a fast-paced newsroom environment.
- Excellent team communication skills are essential.
Nice To Haves
- A college degree is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Writes compelling stories and copy that engage viewers on air and online.
- Develops the day-to-day on-air look of the newscast consistent with the station's news mission.
- Posts to the website and social media.
