About The Position
KPLC 7 News seeks a producer ready to work with an award-winning news team. The producer will work closely with news managers, fellow producers, reporters, photographers, and anchors to create high-quality, high-energy, innovative, and authentic reports for broadcast and digital platforms.
Requirements
- A degree in Journalism or related field
- previous work or internship in journalism is a plus
- ability to identify great video and compelling sound bites
- solid news judgment
- excellent communication skills
- the ability to edit video
- the ability to write clearly and concisely
- ability to meet deadlines
- multitask in a fast-paced environment
- write concise stories
- navigate breaking news
- be flexible with respect to scheduling and/or assigned work shifts
