About The Position

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in journalism. Interns will perform general assignment and beat reporting, write in-depth analytical pieces under supervision, and research and write news stories and features for assigned publications. The program is designed to provide real work experience on deadline, allowing interns to build a portfolio of clips. Interns will learn to work with the urgency and accuracy required in a modern newsroom, receive essential feedback and coaching from a mentor, and engage with senior leaders and expert professionals at Bloomberg Industry Group. The company also offers convenient summer housing through local universities and encourages participation in charitable activities.

Requirements

• Three published news clips (to be submitted during initial screening).
• A drive to produce great journalism.
• Ability to pitch and write both breaking and enterprise stories.
• Desire to interview industry leaders and policymakers.
• Willingness to collaborate with the team of reporters and editors.
• At the start of Summer 2027, completed at least three years of an undergraduate program (i.e., a rising senior), just graduated from college or university, or be enrolled in a graduate journalism program.
• Prior experience in journalism, including campus media.
• Ability to work within a team under deadline pressure.
