CNBC is seeking a News Editor to shape how audiences experience our journalism and help manage CNBC’s homepage. Working at the center of the newsroom, this editor will program CNBC's flagship homepage to showcase the most important coverage for investors, business leaders and engaged readers, while also serving as a strong editor of stories. The role is part of a team that acts as an air-traffic controller for CNBC.com — monitoring breaking news, markets and audience trends to determine what leads the site at any given moment. The editor will collaborate closely with reporters, producers, and senior editors to ensure coverage is timely, accurate and prominently displayed. The position requires strong news judgment, visual instincts and a sharp sense of digital presentation. The editor will make quick decisions about story placement, headlines and imagery, while editing stories to ensure clarity, accuracy and impact. They must balance breaking news with enterprise reporting and live coverage to create a clear, compelling report for CNBC’s audience. Successful candidates stay organized and decisive when multiple major stories break at once, ensuring CNBC’s digital platforms always reflect the most important news in real time. This role is based in Englewood Cliffs, NJ and reports to CNBC Digital’s Deputy Managing Editor. This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $75,000-$110,000.
