About The Position

WOIO-TV is looking for an experienced, energetic anchor to join our morning news team. This person will be responsible for creating and delivering content across two networks and all of our streaming platforms. Must be able to deliver breaking, hard-news stories with clarity and empathy. The candidate will be required to help lead a morning news team committed to providing First Alert-focused content to the viewer. This person will also be part of our investigative and special projects teams.

Requirements

• Three years of anchoring/reporting in medium to large commercial television markets.
• Strong newsroom leader with the ability to work well with the rest of the team.
• Breaking news reporting skills.
• Knowledge of AP style is important for contributing to our digital platforms.

Nice To Haves

• Degree in Journalism, Communications, or equivalent preferred.
