About The Position
WLUC-TV6 is seeking a Weekend News Anchor/MMJ who is a strong communicator both on-air and online. This full-time role requires the individual to be the newsroom leader on weekends, managing all aspects of the station's on-air and online presence. Responsibilities include ensuring script accuracy and concision, maintaining a positive attitude, and fostering strong relationships with the assignment desk and reporters. A conversational on-air presentation is essential. The position involves working as a Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) for three weekdays, producing and anchoring two evening newscasts on weekends, and updating the station website and social media.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Ability to handle Social Media, including website writing, Facebook, Twitter, and more.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as an MMJ is preferred.
