About The Position

The Nursing Assistant will perform tasks which involve specified services for patients delegated by a Licensed Nurse. Has a working knowledge of organizational and nursing policies.

Requirements

One year of previous/recent Nurse Aide experience preferred or has military training and experience equivalent to a nurse aide.
Nursing Aide Certification
The Certified Nurse Aide Technical Procedure Privileging Form details procedures the employee is expected to perform and must be completed by the end of the 3-month probationary period.
Age specific knowledge is required when needed for appropriate patient care.
This position requires close interaction with other ancillary departments in order to facilitate a quality multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.

Hospital Wide Quality Metrics
Quality Measurement: Did staff wash their hands?
Stewardship- Cost Center actual expenses in comparison to flex budget
Staff Meeting Attendance
Development of Nursing Profession
Patient Safety and Quality Outcomes (NDNQI quality data – Units that do not monitor specific indicators will use the hospital wide scoring for the year)
Falls with Injury
Hospital Acquired Pressure Ulcer
Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infection (CAUTI)
Central Line Associated Blood Stream Infection (CLABSI)
