About The Position

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screener to perform computerized infant hearing screenings under the direction of the Newborn Hearing Screening Program Director and/or the Program Coordinator. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, compassionate interaction with infants and their families, and accurate data recording to ensure early detection of hearing loss and prompt intervention. The screener will adhere strictly to established guidelines, mission, and policies, maintain rigorous compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, and contribute actively to performance improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
• Newborn Hearing Screening Training Curriculum (NCHAM) certification within six (6) months of hire

Nice To Haves

• One to two (1-2) years of acute care experience
