About The Position

The Freelance Firm is a national network of experienced, high-level, freelance attorneys and paralegals providing remote on-demand support for legal projects. Due to increased demand, we are seeking a qualified, experienced, and dedicated New York-based Immigration Attorney for in-person appearances for Master Calendar Hearings and Individual Hearings Coverage. A weekly Hearing Calendar will be shared, allowing the attorney to select hearings that fit their schedule.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York.
• Ability to attend in-person hearings in the New York area.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Immigration law.
• Understanding of local rules and court system.
• Well-organized and proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Self-starter and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Attend in-person Master Calendar Hearings and Individual Hearings in the New York area.
• Provide coverage for scheduled immigration court hearings.
• Select hearings from a weekly shared calendar that align with personal schedule.
