About The Position

The Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment has supported grassroots initiatives for 30 years, focusing on environmental protection, community health, and people's rights. Their New Voices Are Rising (NVR) program specifically aims to uplift youth leadership in BIPOC communities disproportionately affected by social and environmental injustice. The NVR Youth Program Lead will manage the planning, execution, and evaluation of the NVR Summer Climate Justice Leadership Academy and the school-year Fellowship program. This role involves designing curriculum, leading student engagement, recruiting and mentoring participants, overseeing staff and fellows, and managing logistics for classroom activities and field trips. The lead will also coach students in developing individual workplans in collaboration with Peer-On-Duty Leaders and Summer Youth Co-Coordinators. The Rose Foundation values a diverse team and encourages applications from BIPOC individuals, women, femme, non-binary, or LGBTQ+ candidates, and those comfortable conversing in Spanish or other languages common in California communities of color.
