About The Position

The New Product Development Program Manager leads cross-functional teams through the structured Stage-Gate process to develop and launch new or improved Thermo King products. The role is accountable for delivering products that meet customer requirements and program objectives, timelines, and budgets, with P&L accountability for program and project activity through launch. It guides execution from requirements and prototype testing through a handoff to operations, leading primarily through influence, navigating ambiguity, removing obstacles, and keeping teams engaged. This is an engineering, new product development, manufacturing, or industrial portfolio management role, not an IT PMO role. The position partners with management, business leaders, Product Management, the PMO Leader, and other Program Managers to define program scope and requirements, manage risks and dependencies, coordinate execution, and improve the product development process. It also mentors project leaders, facilitates reviews and gate assessments, drives shorter NPD cycle times, and leads post-program reviews and organizational learning. The role requires 10–20% travel. The work arrangement is onsite Monday through Thursday, with the option to choose the work location on Fridays according to work needs.
