This role is responsible for supporting minor model development cost activities, including Bill of Material maturation, Maker Layout communication across Honda Development and Manufacturing of America, LLC, Data Base Cost Correlation, and Cost Roll-up/Reporting to top management. It also provides support on full model development activities, demonstrates an understanding of the technical processes involved in new model cost management, and supports cost event schedule requirements.

Requirements

  • College degree (Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or Purchasing) preferred or equivalent relevant experience
  • 0-4 years of relevant experience based on education
  • 0-2 years accounting/finance (cost management) experience
  • New model project management experience
  • Understanding of Bill of Materials
  • Cost systems
  • Design change systems

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support minor model and/or full model project management
  • Work in resolving problems/issues with new model development
  • Communicate effectively with other groups to establish/report accurate new model costs
  • Prepare and analyze data to support New Model cost presentations that explains cost/investment to management
  • Analyze results and investigate cost change reasons
  • Confirmation of cost change reasons by part for summarization and reporting
  • Review and cost-based part structures for New Models
  • Understand group business plan goals and how role/responsibility achieves those goals
