About The Position

This is a part-time, 1099 position where the primary responsibility is to conduct quality reviews of newly built homes from a customer's perspective. The goal is to identify defects in workmanship, quality, completeness, consistency, and professionalism. Each review evaluates the quality of the finished construction and takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours to complete. Reviewers will drive to construction sites and conduct reviews on scheduled days, submitting reports electronically on-site by 5 PM. Training will be provided for the reporting database. Reviewers are not required to use tools, lights, or ladders, nor are they required to walk on roofs or in attics.

Requirements

• Tablet (Cellular enabled from 2020 model or newer)
• Blue painter's tape
• Hard hat (Required to be worn while on the job site.)
• Access to email while out in the field either though a tablet or phone
• Detail oriented - able to be thorough and consistent
• Able to recognize defects in a home from a buyer's viewpoint.
• Reliable - work must be completed on the scheduled day between 8am - 5pm
• Principled - able to work unsupervised while providing thoroughness and consistency in each home
• Able to connect to the internet via Wi-Fi
• Have experience working with a mobile device and familiar on how to solve minor technical issues that could occur while out in the field.
• Able to drive to sites around the area.

Nice To Haves

• Residential construction experience
• General Contractor/Superintendent/Project Manager background
• Familiar with punch list writing or general QC/QA principles.
• Home Renovation or Remodeling background
• Familiar with fit and finish reviews or warranty walk through with homeowners

Responsibilities

• Look at newly built homes from a customer's perspective to identify defects in workmanship, quality, completeness, consistency, and professionalism.
• Evaluate the quality of the finished construction.
• Drive to construction sites and conduct quality reviews on the day it is scheduled.
• Submit reports on-site electronically upon completion of review and no later than 5 PM.
• Enter review results online using your own tablet while on the job site.

Benefits

• Paid per review completed.
• Pay rate ranges from $75-$90 per new review.
• Introductory period lasts for 30 -60 days, and pay is $65-$75 per review during that timeframe.
• There is a $10/house raise when introductory period ends.
