About The Position

International Paper’s Lynchburg Container Plant is a manufacturer of corrugated packaging. This position will assist operators in processing corrugated sheets according to written specifications/diagrams and prepares product for the next operation.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to lift and mount print plates, cutting dies and ink buckets weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Must be able to safely use wrenches for setting pull collars and slotting/scoring heads.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with no air conditioning or heat.
• Constant standing, walking and reaching at or below shoulder level, frequent twisting, bending and lifting from the ground, repetitive lifting up to 20-50 pounds.
• Have strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators in processing corrugated sheets according to written specifications/diagrams.
• Prepare product for the next operation.
• Abide by safe working practices and policies, work safely, and wear necessary personal protective equipment.
• Work cooperatively with peers and supervisors and have a good attitude with willingness to learn.
• Work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Safely use wrenches for setting pull collars and slotting/scoring heads.
• Extract and input data via computer.
• Perform and record accurate reading of measurements.
