About The Position

Brink Constructors is seeking a New Hire Orientation Safety Trainer to support the delivery, coordination, tracking, and continuous improvement of safety training for new hires and employees. This role will lead NHO training, deliver required safety programs, and support compliance-focused training needs across the organization. The ideal candidate will have the ability to teach OSHA 10 ET&D, hold OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 credentials, and be qualified to provide First Aid/CPR instruction. Preference will be for candidates to be based in or near Rapid City, SD. This position will require up to 75% travel. This job requires a DOT physical and a current DOT medical card.

Requirements

  • OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 credentials required or ability to provide documentation verifying eligibility to teach OSHA 10 ET&D.
  • First Aid/CPR instructor certification or ability to provide First Aid/CPR training required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience conducting safety training preferred; experience with new hire orientation or field safety training strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA requirements and occupational safety standards relevant to construction, electrical transmission, distribution, substation, and renewable energy work preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate, if required for business needs.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in electrical transmission, distribution, substation, or renewable energy environments preferred.
  • Strong facilitation and classroom delivery skills with the ability to engage audiences with varying experience levels.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage shifting schedules and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver New Hire Orientation safety training and other required safety training programs for employees.
  • Teach OSHA 10 ET&D and related safety training programs in alignment with company, regulatory, and client requirements.
  • Provide First Aid/CPR training and support related certification or recertification needs as required.
  • Coordinate training schedules with management, job leads, and field operations, including training room setup, materials preparation, and communication of class logistics.
  • Track completed training, maintain accurate training records, and reproduce records upon request.
  • Review and support updates to training matrices to identify required training by role, job scope, client requirements, and retraining schedule.
  • Provide expertise on safety training requirements based on federal regulations, job scope, client expectations, and company standards.
  • May conduct train-the-trainer sessions on specific safety training programs based on company needs.
  • Support business needs in a Safety Professional capacity as needed.
