This position is designed for upcoming nursing graduates to explore different units within Sanford Health. After an initial discussion with a Talent Advisor, candidates will have the opportunity to interview with units of their choice. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. This includes collaborating with inter-professional colleagues, such as physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The RN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge, utilizing appropriate age and population-specific standards. They care for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions, all while functioning within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined by the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure. The Sanford Professional Nursing Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct.
