The Blake 12 ICU is an 18-bed adult medical, surgical, abdominal transplant, and trauma intensive care unit that has a large multidisciplinary team that cares for some of the highest complex critically ill patients. We work each day to achieve our vision: to provide excellent, quality care to patients and families that is supported by a highly skilled and compassionate team in the safest environment. You must have worked as a PCA/Nursing Assistant on an ICU or have completed a Capstone/Practicum on an ICU to be considered for this position. Summary Responsible for patient care, collaboration within interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring the highest standards of healthcare are maintained through skilled nursing expertise, support, and patient advocacy, all while under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- You must have worked as a PCA/Nursing Assistant on an ICU or have completed a Capstone/Practicum on an ICU to be considered for this position.
- Associate's Degree Nursing required
- MA Registered Nurse License required
- Hospital or managed care experience 0-1 year preferred
- Proficient knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
- Hospital or managed care experience 0-1 year preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and assist in treatments and procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Educate patients and families on health management and post-care instructions.
- Uphold infection control measures to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Respond efficiently and effectively to emergent situations, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
