New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) – Transplant/Urology Unit
About The Position
This is a full-time position for a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Transplant/Urology Unit (7 Tower) at Carolinas Medical Center. The unit is a 36-bed medical/surgical unit specializing in urology, kidney/liver/pancreas transplants, and gender-affirming surgery. Nurses on this unit are trained to provide peritoneal dialysis and are part of the Charlotte region's only Level 1 Trauma Center. The role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, evidence-based practice, and clinical decision-making to ensure safe and therapeutic care.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
- Deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills.
- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
- Provide peritoneal dialysis to ESRD patients within the hospital.
