About The Position

This is a full-time night position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Atrium Health Mercy in Charlotte, NC. The PCU is a 20-bed adult Progressive Care / Step Down ICU unit that cares for patients with complex, chronic diseases requiring advanced nursing skills. Diagnoses commonly seen include sepsis, renal failure, respiratory failure, and DKA, with patients requiring titratable drips. The role involves providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The nurse will utilize evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
