New Graduate Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg
About The Position
This is a full-time Registered Nurse position on a fast-paced, 34-bed medical-surgical unit at Atrium Health Stanly. The unit cares for diverse patient populations with various medical diagnoses and surgical procedures, including general and orthopedic surgeries and wound care. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring capabilities and maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6, with Health Care Technicians (HCTs) at 1:8-12. The average daily census is 25 patients. The department fosters a supportive, upbeat, and friendly culture with ample assistance from experienced team members, including unassigned team leads (charge nurse), clinical supervisors, and the unit manager. The team practices nursing autonomy using evidence-based practice policies and procedures, focusing on team engagement, patient experience, learning, and growth. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
