About The Position

Oak Street Health's NP Fellowship in Adult Primary Care, in collaboration with the University of Michigan School of Nursing, offers a 12-month paid fellowship designed to equip new Nurse Practitioners with the skills and support needed to become confident and competent clinicians for older adults within a value-based care model. Fellows will build their patient panels, learn from various preceptors, and engage in advanced didactic content. The program aims to prepare NPs for a career at Oak Street Health, focusing on improving community health. Two cohorts begin annually, in September and March.

Requirements

• Family, adult, or adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioners who graduated or will graduate from their programs between December 2024 and May 2026.
• Must currently reside in, or be willing to relocate to, the Fellowship program location for at least the next two years.
• Have not yet worked as an NP.
• Minimum of one year experience, within the last five years, working as an adult RN.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 in NP program.
• Have passed, or in the process of, passing NP board examinations by 6/6/2026.
• Currently holds or will hold by 8/3/2026 an active, non-probationary state NP license.
