About The Position

This is a full-time, days position for a New Grad Registered Nurse (RN) in Telemetry. The role involves providing nursing care for a group of patients, matching patient needs with nurse competencies. The position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. The nurse will complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
None (minimum experience).
Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (ADULT CRITICAL CARE, TELEMETRY, INTERIM CRITICAL CARE UNITS).
Should be completed before the end of the orientation period.
AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (PEDI ICU).
Should be completed before the end of the orientation period.
AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (NICU).
S.T.A.B.L.E. for NICU- Level 2 Nursery-Must provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit (Renewal is not required).

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree
Two years in acute care.
Previous clinical nursing experience in med/surg, telemetry or ICU
AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (ADULT CRITICAL CARE, TELEMETRY, INTERIM CRITICAL CARE UNITS).
AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (PEDI ICU)
AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (NICU).
S.T.A.B.L.E. for NICU- Level 2 Nursery-Must provide proof of prior completion or obtain within 6 months of hire or transfer date into unit (Renewal is not required).
