New Grad Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Med/Surg
About The Position
This is a full-time Registered Nurse position on 9T, a 36-bed neurosurgical medical-surgical unit at Carolinas Medical Center. The unit specializes in neurosurgical spine care and provides step-down care from the Neuro ICU, Neuro Progressive, and stroke departments. Six of the beds are off-service for patients with neurological diagnoses. It is a fast-paced, high-acuity unit, particularly for post-operative spine patients, offering lower nurse-to-patient ratios. The unit is Joint Commission Certified in Spine Surgery. Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC, recognized for excellent patient care and medical expertise. CMC is the region's only Level 1 Trauma center, Magnet-designated, and an approved transplant center. It is also one of North Carolina's 5 Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
