About The Position

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients’ needs with the nurse’ competencies. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA).
For RN in Behavioral Health: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into department.
Dialysis Department: In addition to Basic Life Support, ACLS (AHA) must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into the unit.
Behavioral Health Unit: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention for Behavioral Health must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.

Nice To Haves

Bachelors Degree
2 years in acute care for Med/Surg
2 years in psychiatric facility for Behavioral Health
2 years acute/chronic dialysis for Dialysis
AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
ACLS (AHA) must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into the unit (Dialysis Department).
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into department (Behavioral Health).
